What if we could eliminate boredom from Brookline teenagers' lives? On any given weekday afternoon, you might expect to see a typical teenager playing basketball at their local YMCA or socializing at a Boys and Girls Club, and in most of our surrounding communities, that's what you'd find. But in Brookline, although we have a wonderful school system and good programming for pre-teens and below, there is really no place to go, and a Brookline teenager is more likely to be found hanging around outside the high school or playing video games at home. Having decided to view this as an opportunity rather than a loss, we want to create Brookline history by setting the standard for a teen center. Our mission statement, constructed to fill this need, is what drives our goals. |

Through their grief, Gloria’s children realized they needed to do something to help fight this horrific disease. They knew that more awareness, better education and increased funding for critical breast health programs could help women and men detect breast tumors earlier, ultimately saving lives. |
